Snow Day!!!

It was a shock to wake up and see so much white! It is beautiful, the kids and dogs had a blast! Maggie our Great Dane will be 1 year old on the 17th of February and this is the first time she has ever seen snow...lol She went crazy trying to catch all of it.
Britt and Jr made a snow man, and Kenai our Chow/Husky mix ran off with his nose, he thought it was a great snack.=)

Uncle Rick and Aunt Ulli's Schnitzel

This is page 2 of my recipe book, Uncle Rick and Aunt Ulli's Schnitzel.
This is a sure fire hit with everyone who has ever tried it. I like to serve it with the Irish Mashed potatoes and a green veggie.
Some people like to do this dish with gravy, but I prefer it with fresh lemon...it gives it just the right flavor. You can also use boneless pork chops instead of the pork loin.

When we moved to Mt.Shasta,Ca. near Uncle Rick and Aunt Ulli, we had dinner together almost every night, it was always wonderful...Big meals and lots of family, sometimes it got a bit hectic...lol but it was never boring!

No matter what my kids have planned, if I am making Schnitzel they are guaranteed to be home.=)

Irish Mashed Potatoes

I have decided to scrap a recipe book for my kids...and my sister who can't cook...lol

I made this LO for the SASy Treats Challenge over at Stone Accents Studio . The kit I used is "Rough & Tumble by CanDesigns which can be found HERE.

I love this recipe! It sounds very funky, but it is so yummy. My kids ask for it all of the time, and there are never left overs.=)
